Mission Plausible
Season 3, Episode 3

After a couple of months of gathering allies and preparing for the attack on the Vale of Valtaerna, the Ninth met with their army just out of sight from the watchtower of Saintsbridge. The Ninth would need to get their army through the watchtower to get inside the vale. To scout out the watchtower they sent Raiju and Ugor to go ahead. Raiju noticed two magical beasts on the roof of the watchtower with the body of a lion, the head of a man and with golden wings. Vael knew from his studies that these creatures would be able to detect them should they come close to the tower, their only option was to quickly get to the roof and kill the beasts. After the beasts were slain and the alarm on top of the tower was disabled, they climbed down the tower and killed everyone inside, sparing none. Unfortunately the events on the tower had not gone unnoticed, and the town of Sanctum was rallying it’s defenders, but it was to late, their enemies were inside the vale and ready for battle.

An Army of the Damned
Season 3, Episode 2

The ninth had settled quite nicely in Ghastenhall and were just a few days from starting their organization again, but that had to wait till they were done with fixing Lasthome. Using the clue they found on the dead skinsaw cultist in Lasthome, the ninth found a cache in a grave. In the cache they found some items along with a dagger and a name, Bertram Marsten. It was obvious that the man had to die in exchange for all the fine items in the cache. Ugor was set to the task to end Marsten’s life. He discovered where the target was and spent the night infiltrating his house and assassinating the man. Not being content with just one kill however, Ugor decided to kill the woman sleeping next to him and cover the child sleeping in the next room in blood in order to frame the child for the murder. Ugor left and told the others that the mission was done and about his sudden lapse in insanity.

After fixing Lasthome and watching Felix’s fight in the Golden Palace, the ninth were visited by Tiadora once more. She told them that they would be going to Westkirk to gather an army from the Fire-axe. She handed them a scroll of teleport and they left for Westkirk. There they met the Fire-axe and managed to convince him of giving them 250 bugbears to invade the Vale of Valtaerna. He also told them of an oni in his army that would have reason to joint them and about some duergars that lived in the nearby mountains. Tiadora also told them about the medusa that lived nearby. After their meeting with their old friend, the ninth met with Raiju the exile, the oni they were told about. It seemed that he had killed the son of a bugbear chief and were being hunted by the bugbears. Raiju joined the ninth on the promise that he would be payed regularly for his service. After recruiting Raiju, the villains decided they would recruit the medusa before returning to Ghastenhall. They met the medusa in her home, an old ruined temple to some long forgotten god. The medusa attacked the ninth, but thanks to Vael’s magic they subdued here and got her to see reason.

The knot returned to Ghastenhall just in time for the last event of the Golden Palace monster fighting. Felix entered the ring and for a second he felt as if he would fall over, as if he had been poisoned, but thanks to his high fortitude he overcame the poison and won every fight. Felix believed that the owner of the Golden Palace, Martigan Vex, had posioned him in order to rob him of his valuables. After asking him directly and being told that Vex did not do it, Felix decided he would pester Vex untill he would admit to having poisoned him.

The next day they would meet with Prince Gaius again to get his aid. With their new army they managed to convince the vampire to give them his spawn, but only if they would recover his family chalice. He also told them that if they gave him the blood of an angel he would share his gift of immortality.

At the end of the month the villains decided they should find the duergar stronghold and get them to join their raid on the vale. they traveled to the Ansgarian mountains and after some hours they found a duergar patrol. Vael talked the duergar into leading them to their home, a dark but beatiful city under the mountain. They met with the duergar thane and managed to convince him that joining them would be their best chance to get some revenge on the surface dvelling humans and dwarves that had shunned them so long ago.

The ninth returned home to their estate and were ready to relax, but then they got a visitor from hell.

A City Without Loyalties
Season 3, Episode 1

With the Tears of Achlys in their possession the Ninth’s next mission was to get themselves to Ghastenhall. There they would meet Barnabus Thrane, an agent of Thorn and priest of Mitra, and hand him the Tears. One long boat trip later, the villains found themselves in the buzzling port-city that is Ghastenhall. They managed to contact Thrane and set up residense in a manor, aquired by the old priest for their services. The ninth’s next mission would be to invade the Vale of Valterna, but first they were to stay in Ghastenhall for a month untill they were called upon to meet with the Fire-Axe to gather an army.

The ninth decided that they would need to rebuild their organization, and for that they needed a new place. Luckily for them Draax had found out about an old manor on a hill overlooking Ghastenhall that was without an owner, but unfortunately not vacant. When the villains arrived at the manor, Lasthome, they were ambushed by a dozen duergars when entering the house. After murdering the duergars they found a tunnel under the manor leading to a cave holding no less than 30 angry duergars. Not being strangers to the art of killing, the Ninth cleaned out the cave and threw the duergar leader down a 500 feet hole. Lasthome would still not be theirs thoug, since it belonged to the duke of Ghastenhall, but thanks to an old ring belonging to a long dead princess, the ninth managed to get their hands on the deed.

After finding a dead skinsaw cultist with a note leading them to the Barcan cemetery, the ninth met Ghastenhall’s very own vampire lord, Gaius Vestromo, after telling them of their intentions of attacking the Vale of Valtaerna, prince Gaius let them go. He also told them that if he thought they stood a good chance of invading the vale he would give them his vampire spawn to aid them in the battle.

Felix also found out that the owner of the Golden palace (part brothel, part casino, part fight club), Martigan Vex, was arranging an event where all sorts of monsters would be fighting in fighting pits of the palace. Feeling this was just the thing for him, Felix signed up and managed to not beat only one, but six of the monsters thus far. Now all that remains is to see if he can beat the next six beasts.

Five Days to Darkness
Season 2, Episode 9

The ninth only had a couple of weeks left until the final sacrifice and the conclusion of their long mission. Before the final weeks the horn was beset by will’o’wisps and a gorgimera, they were dealt with accordingly. After the beasts were slain, a month of peace and quiet came. There was no monsters that leaped into the horn, no ghosts rising to kill them and no pesky adventurers seeking to rid the horn of evil. It seemed like everything was finally going our villains way. That was until the last week and it was only five more days untill their goal.

On the first day of the last week, after the midnight ritual, the horn started trembling and it fell to pieces. Everywhere walls and roofs were caving in and sections of the temple fell down into the jungle. It was a miracle that the horn still stood at the end of the ordeal. For the next three days, the villains had to protect the sanctum from all sorts of creatures, ranging from a pack of planar horrors to an angel, and last but not least the silver dragon, Argossarian the silver. none of them could defeat the ninth however, and even as their minions died and fled in terror of the things that were happening, the ninth still stood.

It was at the last day that the villains would face their greatest foe yet, more adventurers. A band calling themselves the Sons of Balentyne, led by the son Richard the Paladin, son of the commander of Balentyne, and relatives of the men who had died at the watchtower. A fearsome battle ensued, and it was clear that Richard was as dangerous as he was righteous. With his mighty sword he managed to kill not only Felix but Ugor as well. However mere dying is not enough the stop the Nessian knot. Thanks to infernal magic and villanous luck, the pair survived and Felix retaliated against the knight and almost got to kill him before the son’s wizad used some secret way to work around the anti-teleport field in the horn and sent the paladin away.

The son’s were dealt with and all that remained was to make the last sacrifice and call forth Vetra-Kali. The sacrifice was a wicke and gruesome thing, as Valin Darian’s heart was still beating in Draax’ hand, the statue erupted and out of it the Deamon prince came forth. they had finally done it, they had brought forth the Deamon prince.

For the first eye Vetra-Kali made a promise not to hurt the ninth. For the second eye he gave away the tears of Achlys. Now the ninth only had to give away the third eye to be granted anything in the deamons power. Their wish, that Vetra-Kali leave and never return to the mortal plane ever. The Deacon of Pestilence was furious, as he ate the last eye and a portal from abbadon started sucking him up, he cursed the ninth and promised that he would get his revenge. With that the horn started trembling and the ninth managed to get out before the horn crumbled to bits. Their mission was done, but there was no time to rest as Tiadora came with their new mission, they had to travel at once to Ghastenhall.

3-2-1 FIGHT!!
Season 2, Episode 8

In this episode we join our villains in Farholde as they are searching for a rivalling band of orphans called Thatchers crew, this band of renegade orphans are disrupting the peace of mind of our “heroes”. after some talking to the headmaster of the orphanage they found out that they tended to stay somewhere in Drownington (Farholdes self-proclaimed shanty-town, and boy did it smell like it too). The Forsaken decided to go to the only building with a solid foundation the Drownington Manor (which turned out to be the local tavern, brothel and fight club).

While Vael was asking around for thatchers whereabouts, Felix decided he’d earn some coin, so he entered in a knife fight and paid a gold in entry fee (though the entry fee really was 5 copper he couldn’t be bothered with it) Draax saw this as a golden opportunity to earn some more coin on betting on Felix so he went ahead and bet 1 silver coin with a shifty looking guy (Draax as the numbnut he can be, paid the man upfront).
Ugor started a drinking contest and found himself in the bottom of a tankard very quickly, Vael on the other hand found out that a couple of guys in a corner of the tavern wearing purple bandanna were the guys they were looking for, he told Theon and then went looking for the rest of the group (however he misheard and wondered why people would wear purple bananas).
Meanwhile Felix had won his fight and was nearly scammed for his gold but the fightmaster turned out to be quite the softy, Draax on the other hand wasn’t so lucky, he had to come running to Felix for help with getting his coin back, and this resulted in a massive barfight that lasted for so long that selfproclaimed Lord Drownington had to yell and scream and threaten to kill everyone to make them calm down. However the guys they had come looking for had gone amidst the fighting.

They returned the next day and within five minutes of arriving Ugor was shitface drunk and was speaking to his tankard. Vael approached Thatcher and his boys and tried to negotiate, and Ugor decided to come help a bit, but was abruptly carried away by an irritated Felix and knocked unconscious by the door with Theon, the negotiations went to shit and it resulted in another barfight. They had to wait yet another day to try and find them, but this time they weren’t at the tavern. After some asking around they were shown the location of their hideout where Felix smashed in their door and proceeded to systematically kill everyone with the help of one of Draax’s summons to block the exit.

Our “heroes” promptly left for the horn and the next day in their meeting room, where Felix is conveying his master plan for wrecking havoc to the Abbey of St. Cynthia-Celeste. which consists of Ugor sneaking in with oil and set the place to the torch. Right before he got to the good part he was interrupted by an alarm-horn bellowing through the first floor. Draax, Theon and Vael rushed to the first floor, only to find a bunch of dust instead of Necrocrafts.
Ugor had one hell of a hangover and took things a bit slow, so he was in no kind of rush to get anywhere, Felix however went to get his armour on the second floor where he was greeted by a greenclad gnome and his three friends. He presented themselves as the Banner Verdant (consisting of a gnome, a dwarf, a ranger and a druid), Felix however swapped floors as quickly as he had arrived and notified the rest of their location and returned to the green gnome and pretended he was under a charm spell. After a swift combat engagement the dwarf had managed to chop down Ugor and jab a spear into Felix’s neck, but not before Felix destroyed his axe and the gnome paralyzed Felix. It looked grim for the three spellcasters for a moment, but then, Grumblejack bursts into the room and swiftly cutting down the archer, making sure Vael could focus on casting spells on the raging dwarf in front of him and the gnome some distance away. the dwarf and druid was quickly cut down and after a short gaze from Theon the gnome fell.

On his person was a journal describing how his days had gone by in Farholde, and it revealed a horrifying truth Elise Zadaria had betrayed them. Vael, Draax and Felix quickly contacted Tiadora and by showing her the book they got Cardinal Adrastus Thorns blessing in disposing of the treacherous Knot Hibernal and they were granted two fiendish angels to aid in the task.

The Forsaken decided to lay in wait and lure out The Knot Hibernal to the horn, with Theon as an ever watchful lookout. He eventually discovered them 500 meters away from the horn as Trak drank a potion of invisibility. He quickly returned to the horn warning them about an invisible Trak and flew back out to keep watch over the rest of The Knot Hibernal. Felix and Vael hid everyone up on the third floor and lay in wait in the meditation room. Eventually they heard the sound of someone using the teleporter and started swinging at the sound as a disembodied voice said Yah they all followed and quickly cut down Trak. Then everyone went outside and were led to Elise Zadaria by Theon in bird form. They took them by surprise and cut down Dostan and Elise.Trik became very conflicted with himself for a short moment then proceeding to kill of Elise laying on the ground. (that man was never the same from then on)

Some time later our villains find themselves in Farholde again, this time to set fire to the Abbey of St. Cynthia-Celeste’s secret library, however the plan needed some alterations to work properly (apparently nuns won’t let men inside their abbey, who would’ve thought) and not only was it Ugor that had to go in, Theon and Vael had to come too, all disguised as girls. The y managed to sneak in and the very same night Ugor snuck into the library picking up some books and a very impressive glaive and proceeded to douse everything in oil, lighting it and sneaking back into his room without anyone noticing. Panick ensued and our three brave “heroes” managed to escape 300 battlenuns without being noticed in the chaos.

Some weeks later they got some disturbing news from Trik, who told them that a silver dragon had attacked Arkov Vandermir’s manor and eaten the good Baron. Vael was a little upset about these news, but quickly got in a better mood when he got his hands on Vandermir’s magical robes.

Good things never last very long however and some time later a messenger came with a letter saying that some Knights of the Alerion were heading for the horn led by Lord Valin Darianhimself (who am I kidding this was a great thing, the last sacrifice coming to them).
They applied the usual lookout and waited, but not for too long they arrived shortly after searching the first floor and proceeded to the second floor where they avoided an arrow trap, one made it across both traps, two of them however fell down the pit trap just beyond the first trap. Ugor decided to push the knight down the pit, however the armour was a bit heavier than he initially thought so he fumbled the push, Felix showed up in the nick of time pushing the knight down the pit. Now they all had to hurry to the first floor where Lord Valin had hurried off to break out his friends. Lord Valin was promptly cut off in the corridors and fighting broke out. there were a lot of metal clanging and pillars of fire and smoke erupted everywhere, and Ugor under the effects of a haste spell managed to run over 300ft over a very short duration (running around a couple of rooms to block their path to the prison) catching one of the knights off guard. At last only two remained, one of the knights ran off to get reinforcments as his friend was brutally cut down. He didn’t get far as Grumblejack blocked the corridor and split the knight in half with his brand new glaive.

Success they had the last sacrifice in their possession.
Nothing could possibly go wrong now….

Nobody expects the Mitran Inquisition
Season 2, Episode 7

The party acquired a new boat that were left behind by someone who clearly did not need it anymore. They also heard about a silver dragon who had been seen around Farholde.

Felix got news that some of his boggards did not make it back from their recent trip to lake of Skye. The guys headed out to take care of whatever the problem seemed to be, leaving Ugor behind to “defend” the Horn.
After Theon found a trail of a cat-like beast the party stumbled upon a cave which seemed to be the beasts hideout. They walked in confidently and came back out shortly thereafter with another corpse for Draax’s collection.

When Felix brought back the news about the missing boggards, Zikomo Hears-the-Father told him that the boggards were getting lazy and were not motivated to work. Some had even been talking about leaving their dungeon. Felix had none of that and went down to talk with them. After appointing a new captain (the old one was incapable of continuing his work) the boggards seemed much more motivated.

In need of a good follower of Mitra, the decision was passed a long to kidnap a group of people, counting that atleast one of the peasants were a true believer. Shortly after these prisoners were brought to the cells they were freed by unkown intruders. Vael used his scrying abilities on the guard who was on duty at the time and found out he was being tortured and questioned by inquisitors. The Horn’s staff laid in wait for an inevitable attack which eventually turned out to happen while Draax was doing maintenance on his necrocrafts. It soon evolved into a full scale battle between the inquisitors and the undead which seemed to be pretty evenly matched untill the arrival of Theon, Felix and Vael. They did short work of the rest and kept a couple alive for questioning.

Some ammount of torturing later one of the survivors told how they knew about the secret entrance to the Horn from a book they found in the Abbey located in Farholde. Vael, Draax, Felix and Theon all headed to town to take a better look but were cut off before they had the chance. The people of Farholde were grieveing for their children who had lost a huge battle against Sakkarot Fire-axe. They also learned that they were supposed to get a warning about the inquisitors but it seemed that The Seventh Knot’s messenger had failed to deliver this message and was missing.

The Forsaken spent some time to track down the messenger and soon found his last location alive. His tracks led directly towards a huge tree which seemed to be alive and attacked everyone who came near it. After great teamwork they eliminated the creature and sent word back to the Seventh that a new messenger was needed.

Well back in the horn it was time for the second sacrifice, which were to be lead by Vael. For this sacrifice a true follower of Mitra needed to be slain, knowing this the Forsaken had left the head of the inquisitors alive and used him as their sacrifice.
Everything went as plan and once again the green light shot up into the sky frightening the population of Farholde.

A couple of days after the sacrifice the group got news that a man was rallying people to stop the evil they suspected went on in the news. As this man could be a potential threat to the secrecy of the organisation the forsaken had rumors spread around that this individual himself was a follower of Asmodeus and not to be trusted. The plan was a success and people did not want anything to do with the man and his plans.

The guys were settling down after a couple of weeks filled with trouble, though trouble has it’s way of finding them. A form of ghostly spirit rose up in one of the first floor rooms. On it’s way to the main hall it scared more than a few minions to their death. Felix, Draax and Vael attacked the horrifying creature and tried to ignore it’s horrifying gaze. When Theon came to the scene he quickly turned and fled with his tail between his legs.

Nearly drained for willpower the 3 of them did manage to slay their enemy though they did not leave the battle unharmed. Although they did not carry bruises, Draax was of weaker will and Felix had gone nearly insane. Luckily for them both, Draax managed to figure out what was wrong with them and soon had a spell to help with the insanity.

Raiders of the lost eyes
Season 2, Episode 6

After performing the blasphemous rituals, they learned from the mural hall, the Ninth installed traps and set up guard patrols in the horn. Everything was relatively calm until a minions corpse was found hidden away in an unused room. It was believed that a shapeshifter had killed the minion to take his place. The Ninth used the better part of the week before the shapeshifter slipped up and the Ninth chased him into the forest. There they discovered that the shapeshifter was a Moon dog and there were actually two of them. the dogs cast an enchantment on Vael and Felix making them flee from the battle. The Knot still managed to kill the dogs and make the horn safe once more.

Later Vael and Felix were invited to Arkov Vandermir’s 105th birthday ball, where they managed to talk to some very influential people and establish some connections with their organization.

Back in the horn the group decided they needed better traps to ward of intruders. In order to make a poisoned pit trap Draax traveled to the city of Brass, greatest bazaar in the multiverse. Due to a slight miscalculation when plane shifting, he ended up 300 miles of course and had to wait at least three days before he could return, meaning he would not be able to aid in defending the horn from the next set of adventurers who would attack the very next day.

At the beginning of the week the White ravens had reported a group called Traya’s raiders were heading for the horn. They were to open to attack in town, so the Ninth had to deal with them. Luckily for them the raiders walked right into one of their traps and then right into the next one. the raiders were at a disadvantage and died one by one until only the leader remained. She was questioned before she was killed and the ritual continued unhampered.

The next day Theon performed a powerful spell to bring Vael back from the dead, albeit as a human and in a weakened state. In order to return Vael back to full power the group had to get some reagents in Farholde. Even ambushed the Ninth would not prove an easy prey, they quickly turned the situation around and killed their attackers and their Azata master.
